Every lock problem, one honest process.
Nine services, one way of working: you describe the job, you get a fixed quote, you approve it — and you pay at completion, once the work is done and tested. The price we agree is the price you pay.
You'll speak to George — the owner, and a working locksmith.

Lock replacement & upgrades — without the upsell.
Service Overview:
New keys after a move, or an upgrade your insurer asks for — fitted for a fixed quote. And if you don't need new locks, we say so. Typically with you in 30–45 minutes — we'll confirm your exact ETA when you call, no overpromising. 8am–midnight from £59. What changes the figure: the part, if one is needed — named and priced in writing before we fit it — or a second lock. We're rarely the cheapest quote you'll get. We're the one that doesn't change when we arrive. Payment at completion — never before we start, never chased after. You'll have your price in writing before we set off.
How a lock replacement actually goes
- Survey — We look before we quote — at your door, or from photos you WhatsApp us. No pressure, no obligation.
- Recommend — Plain-English options across three honest tiers — and what your insurance wording actually requires. Nothing you don't need.
- Fixed quote — One all-in figure with the lock named and priced. You approve it before any work starts — or you pay nothing.
- Fit & test — Most single-door swaps take under an hour. We test every key with you watching.
- Pay at completion — Card, bank transfer or payment link once the work is done and tested — never before we start.

What's always included.

Real jobs, photographed on the tools
Every frame is a real call-out — 45 photographs taken on the job. The doors, the worn gearboxes, the finished fits: this is the day-to-day work behind the fixed quotes on this page — and the locksmith in the band at the top of this page is the one who answers when you call.

If a cheaper fix will hold, we tell you
Not every tired lock needs replacing. When a service or a realignment will genuinely hold, we quote the repair instead — both numbers in front of you, your call. That is the test every recommendation below has already passed. See lock repair →
Honest options, fixed first
Three honest tiers — priced before we start, not after.
Which tier you need depends on your door, your insurance wording and what is on the other side of it. We recommend in plain English; you decide.
Standard cylinder
8am–midnight from £59 · the exact cylinder is named and priced before we fit it
- ✓ A quality euro or rim cylinder — you choose the grade
- ✓ Right for internal doors and low-risk doors
- ✓ New keys for everyone, old keys dead the moment we leave
Best when: you need keys changed, not security raised.
Most common
Anti-snap upgrade
the exact cylinder is named and priced in your fixed quote
- ✓ Three-star, kitemarked anti-snap cylinder — snapping is the most common way through a uPVC or composite door
- ✓ Sacrificial front section: the cylinder breaks where it is designed to, the door stays shut
- ✓ The strongest pound-for-pound upgrade on most modern doors
Best when: a uPVC or composite door still has its original builder-grade cylinder.
Insurance-rated mortice lock
quoted per door after a quick survey
- ✓ The kitemarked five-lever standard many insurers require on wooden final-exit doors
- ✓ Often a condition of a claim paying out — we check your policy wording with you
- ✓ Fitted neatly into the existing door wherever possible
Best when: your policy small print mentions five-lever locks and your door predates it.
One price, day or evening — nothing added after 6pm.
Round numbers, total price — no VAT added — fixed in your quote before we start. You’ll have your price in writing before we set off. See the full price list →
From this exact job
What people say afterwards.
George was fantastic. He replied super quick even late at night, came next day to do the job and all for a very good price. He explained everything to me, took his time making sure everything was perfect and fixed issues we weren’t even aware of with our doors. He made me feel much more secure in the security of our house. Couldn’t be happier with the service and would definitely recommend to anyone! Great website as well :)

Asked every week
Honest answers, before you call.
How do I know you won’t sell me more than I need?
Because the recommendation comes with its reasoning attached: which tier, why, and what your insurance wording actually requires — in plain English, before you approve anything. If a cheaper fix will hold, we quote that instead. The written quote names the exact lock, so you can look it up yourself before saying yes.
Will you make a mess of my door?
No — neat fitting is half the trade. The new lock goes into the existing cut-outs wherever possible, and if the door needs any adjustment we tell you before, not after. We test every key with you watching and leave the door cleaner than we found it.
Will my insurance accept the new lock?
If your policy specifies a lock standard, we fit to it — and the lock’s rating is named on your itemised invoice, which is exactly what a claims handler asks to see. Have the policy wording handy when we quote and we’ll match it line by line.
Can I get extra keys?
Yes — tell us how many when we quote and they’re cut, counted and folded into the same fixed price. For restricted or dimple keys we’ll tell you honestly where copies can and can’t be cut later.
We’ve just moved in — should we replace everything?
Change the locks you can’t account for keys to — previous owners, their trades, their agents all had copies at some point. A whole-house cylinder change is usually cheaper than people fear, and we’ll tell you which doors genuinely need it and which don’t.
